About KAPARD > president message
Welcome to all the members of the Korean Academy of Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Diseases (KAPARD),

Greetings!

I am the President of Korean Academy of Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Disease (KAPARD),
Young Ho Rah.

I would like to appreciate members of KAPARD who gave me the opportunity to work as president for the next two years. I would also like to appreciate the past congress presidents, presidents and directors for their efforts in developing the society for the last 30 years.

I will do my best to succeed and develop the long tradition of the society that contributed to the scientific development of children and adolescents' allergic diseases and respiratory diseases, and the improvement of children and adolescents' health during my presidency.

Since its establishment in 1987 as the Pediatric Allergy Research Association, the KAPARD has been developing thanks to academic achievements and devoted efforts of the members and has celebrated its 30th anniversary this year.

The 30th anniversary of the founding of the International Academic Conference was held successfully in early April, and the thirty - year anniversary of the commemoration of its 30th anniversary and the publication of a memorial documents are under preparation.

This year, the 30th anniversary of the foundation, I think that it is an important period for the significant leap of the development of our society that has been sustained meanwhile.

For this reason, over the past few years, I will revitalize the Committee established for the future of Society and develop the study Groups that are the driving force for the development of our society.

At the same time, promotion for the reward of asthma and atopic dermatitis counseling is currently being promoted along with related societies. I will actively promote this project to help members' medical practice.

The development of our society depends entirely on members' active interest and participation.

I think that our society can get a great power together with society members through cooperation and joint research.

I and the new board of directors promise to continue the efforts and the challenge for the development of academic research, the cultivation of the postgraduate education and the improvement of the health of children and adolescents by fully exploiting the advantages and characteristics of our society in the fertile soil that has been provided for the past 30 years.

Once again, I would like to ask your encouragement and interest for executives to fulfill the important mission and wish you good health and good luck.

Thank you.
