1987: Founded 'Pediatric Allergy Research Group'
1992:
Established an exchange program with 'The Japanese Society of Pediatric Allergy' and agreed to annually invite an exchange speaker from both countries.
1993: Renamed the research group as 'The Korean Academy of Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Diseases (KAPARD)'
1994: Held 'Training Courses of Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Diseases' twice a year.
1997:
Invited the representatives of 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region to the 10th anniversary conference: This conference became the foundation of 'Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology and Immunology(APAPARI)' founded in May 1998.
2005: Held 'APAPARI-KAPARD' joint congress.
2006: Introduced specialist system to the KAPARD for the first time.
2007: Held a symposium titled 'Fight against Allergic Diseases' in the 20th anniversary conference.
2009: Founded an official publication of KAPARD and KAAACI (Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Research, AAIR)
2012: Held the 25th anniversary congress of KAPARD (19 May)
2013: Founded an official publication of KAPARD and KAAACI (Allergy Asthma & Respiratory Disease, AARD)
Published the second edition of the book titled 'Pediatric Allergy Respiratology Immunology'
2015: Held the XXIV World Allergy Congress (WAC 2015, 14-17 October)
2017: Held the 30th anniversary congress of KAPARD (7-9 April)
2021: Held '2021 KAPARD-APAPARI' joint congress. (20-22 May)
Official Journal
The journal of Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Disease had been published four times a year from its first publication in 1991. By integrating Pediatr Allergy Respir Dis (the official journal of KAPARD) and Korean J Asthma Allergy Clin Immunol (the official journal of KAAACI), Allergy, Asthma & Respiratory Disease (AARD) was first published on March 31, 2013. Academic activity
The annual congress has been held every spring and fall since its first conference in December 1987. They have been held 49 times until 2010. In addition, for the exchange of knowledge and information between the members during the conference, a monthly academic meeting was established. The first monthly meeting was held in June 1987, and a total of 185 monthly meetings have been held so far. In 1994, a Training Course of Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Diseases was held for practitioners and residents twice a year, and a total of 37 training courses have been held to facilitate information sharing and education so far.

In 2005, the first edition of the book titled "Pediatric Allergy Respiratology Immunology" was published. In addition, guidelines on various allergic diseases such as pediatric asthma, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and atopic dermatitis were published, which contributed to the improvement of the medical performance level of the members. Furthermore, opportunities such as the establishment of various research networks, research fund awards, and research-related workshops were provided to strengthen the research capacity.
